Many of you have been wondering what went on at the IBD Hall of Fame Blogger and Influencer Event ,Well to make a long story short, it was an amazing experience, it was very informative we talked about everything from treatments to how we can try to get the word of IBD out more. For example:

Leigh Mitchell spoke about some time-saving ways to organize our social accounts, one way she mentioned was you can group your twitter, google +..etc together that way when you post a new blog entry it automatically shares on your twitter and what not, great idea!
She also mentioned pod casting which is a very trendy thing going around the inter-webs these days , possibly something for us IBDers to look into more often i think!

At the event this website was mentioned, it is a great place to find out IBD info:

There were some great doctors their, One of whom was Dr. Mike Evans, A amazing medical expert and renowned creator of viral YouTube videos, He presented his take on using well-designed social media tools to inform people about health. Here is one of his Videos:

And one of Canada’s top gastroenterologists, Dr. Brian Bressler, whom discussed new research and treatments, Look him up to find out more about those.

Of course, CCf was mentioned , If you have not already you HAVE to go and sign up for the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada newsletter, it is an amazing place to find everything IBD. GO NOW and sign up!

At the end of the event we had a “brain storm” session , where we shared comments, questions, concerns and ideas of how to improve IBD awareness .

All of the IBD bloggers and everyone who attended the event were amazing , I truly made some wonderful connections with some truly amazing people, Whom I look forward to getting to know more and possibly working together with to help spread awareness for IBD.
